childbirth counselling welling #01

General counselling and psychotherapy is also provided unrelated to childbirth

My name is Sue Frame. For the past 11 years I have worked as a counsellor and psychotherapist seeing men, women and couples with a wide variety of emotional problems. I also specialise in working with children and teenagers.

As an experienced midwife I have worked part time as a midwife counsellor and psychotherapist both within the NHS, and in private practice.

Short term as well as long term therapy is offered. My qualification as a psychodynamic psychotherapist enables me to work at a depth, encompassing unconscious conflicts, working with dreams and looking at how our past affects us in the present. Theoretically my approach is Jungian.

I use a variety of other therapy techniques depending on the needs of the client. These include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and EMDR therapy for treating trauma (see About Therapy page).

Counselling by telephone and email or the internet is also offered, so distance need not be a barrier.

I am a Professional Member of the Foundation for Psychotherapy and Counselling FPC(WPF), Member British Association for Psychotherapy and Counselling (MBACP), Member British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC)

My practice is within easy reach of Welling, Bexleyheath, Barnhurst, Eltham, Bexley, Sidcup, Blackheath, Greenwich, Abbeywood, Belvedere and Erith. The nearest British Rail station is either Falconwood or Welling.
